Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
New River Gorge
So lets go to one of the best sport climbing destinations on the East Coast and go bouldering instead. Friday night we will head to Cotton Hill or Hawk’s Nest around 7ish and boulder for 2 or 3 hours (http://www.rockclimbing.com/routes/North_America/United_States/West_Virginia/Bouldering/New_River_Gorge_Region/Cotton_Hill/). We will bring lanterns and headlamps so we can boulder once it gets dark. After we are done, we will head to Rays and meet up with the rest of the outdoor club to party before adventuring the next day. If you want to sign up for this you need to be able to leave at or before 3 on Friday. There isn’t any experience requirement, but I wouldn’t recommend coming if you haven’t climbed before because I can’t guarantee what the problems will be like (haven’t been there before). If you need shoes or a headlamp, you will need to get them from the gear room yourself this week. Crash pads will be provided. You will automatically be waitlisted until I know you have signed up for Dave’s trip. Ryan Elliot will be co-leading this trip with me.
