Wolf Creek Park, Court Street, Fayetteville, WV, USA
So you’ve been around the block and now you’re looking to spice up your mountain bike riding. Or maybe you’re a grizzled rider chasing after some new features. Where to from here? Come check out Wolf Creek Park with me! I’ve never been but it looks like it’s got some cool trails (check ’em out here: https://www.mtbproject.com/directory/8024856/wolf-creek-park).
Current plan is to ride 10-15 miles, but it’s possible that a trail or two will be beckoning to be ridden again, so mileage is flexible. While it’s a good chunk of mileage, it’ll probably come easier to you than what you’re used to (read: ohill), as we’re only looking at 1000-2000 feet of climbing total. Let me know in the trip questions how comfy you are with this mileage and/or if you have a maximum mileage you’d like to ride.
Time plan, for the planners trying to squeeze in a sunrise or sunset hike around this:
10:00 am: gather up at Ray’s, load up bikes, head out
11: arrive at trailhead after a substantial detour around Bridge Day festivities
~ride our hearts out~
5ish*: load up bikes and head back
5:30*: back at Ray’s
*if we’re done significantly earlier than this we might head over to the bridge to check out some jumpers or take the detour route back to camp; return time is set for 5:30 since the bridge opens up to traffic at 5.
