NRGE BEG Hike/Slackline

OVERVIEW

Have you ever wanted to pursue a professional career as a stuntman but are afraid of the fastlife and heights? Join us we go for a scenic hike around NRGE with a break in the middle to slackline! Slacklining is essentially walking on a little rope about 1 ft off the ground, it is lots of fun and super casual (no experience needed!). We will start off at Grandview Visitor Center, hike roughly 1.5 miles (catch some gorgeous views) to a picnic area where we will set up the slackline, have some fun and eat lunch, then we will loop back on Castle Rock Trail for about 0.6 miles (a little bit more rock scramble but still beautiful views) and return to the visitor center! This is a beginner hike and we can easily extend the Grandview hike to 3.2 miles if everyone is feeling up for it!

Drivers will get priority for this trip!

Rough Timeline:
10:00 AM: Meet at main campground
11:00 AM: Arrive at trailhead
12:00 PM: Arrive at Picnic Spot/Slackline/Lunch
1:00 PM: Head back on Castle Rock Trail
1:45 PM Depart from trailhead
3:00 PM Arrive back to campground

What to bring:
Water
Lunch
Warm coat/sweatshirt (it may be cold!)
Hiking clothes
Good shoes
Sunscreen
