NRGE DAY HIKE BY DA BRIDGE (ISH)

Come join me on a *moderate* 3.4 mile hike Saturday morning!! it kind of goes by the bridge and under it for a fun and interesting view of the base jumpers (hence the name Bridge trail). It is said to be occasionally steep and rocky but offers views of the gorge and the New River Gorge Bridge at some parts. Here is a nice review I found on alltrails: “Perhaps more rock-chiseled of a path than needed, the trail still served good elevation gain, small waterfall views, and views of the bridge from underneath”. We can pack midmorning snacks or early lunch to be had at the later portion of this out-n-back hike. Do note that there will be a decent amount of uphill for a good portion of the hike, although its pretty short overall.

Plan:
Saturday morning @ 8:30 am meet up at Ray’s and drive 35 mins to trailhead (with detours from bridge being closed)
9:15 am– start hiking!!
11ish – maybe eat at some point
12- return to cars and drive back to Rays

Water
Good shoes
