NRGE Epic Saturday Bouldering at Meadow Top

OVERVIEW

There’s a boulder field at Meadow River Gorge and it’s only a 10 minute drive from our campground. There are 67+ boulder problems there ranging from V0 to V9. Beginners are welcome – we’ll probably be climbing below V3 mostly. We’ll go over a bit of safety stuff about correct spotting technique and crash pad placement if we have beginners. I’d like to stay a while, but we’ll see how the group feels. We’ll probably climb off and on for at least 3 hours. Bring a speaker if you’ve got one so we can emanate those chill boulderer vibes. We should have at least two crash pads, maybe a third if the car logistics work out. The trip might be expanded if enough drivers sign up – WE NEED DRIVERS (I’m not driving).

Plan:
9:00 am – leave Ray’s
9:15 – arrive
9:30 – start bouldering
1:00 or later??- get back to Ray’s

Bring:
Climbing shoes (get a pair from the gear room if you don’t have them)
Chalk and brush if you have them (we’ll share if not)
Water
Snacks/lunch
Very warm clothes (we’re probably gonna sit around most of the time)

I’ll bring handwarmers to share because climbing with cold hands sucks.
