On the way to the epic epic New River Gorge we plan on making a stop at one of Virginia’s premier mountain biking destinations: Douthat State Park. Filled with challenging climbs and exhilarating descents, Douthat is sure to please with something for everyone. Depending on interest, Plan to ride 10-15ish miles with 2000 feet of climbing.

Check out some trails here:

These trails are technical and will be leafy, so prior mountain biking experience is a must. No need to be a pro rider, but this shouldn’t be your first rodeo. If you have any questions feel free to text me (phone number on profile)

***This trip is part of the NRGE megatrip. We will not be returning to Charlottesville after this ride; instead, we will continue on to Rays Campground to meet up with the rest of the crew that evening. There is a $2 trip fee for this trip to cover parking at Douthat ($7 per car, so exact amount tbd depending on number of people), but you must also pay the $17 trip fee for NRGE.

12:00pm – meet up at Shred Shack, load up bikes, roll out
2:00 – arrive at Douthat
