OVERVIEW

Hello Hello

Gabe and I will be leading a two part MTB trip at NRGE. In the morning we will go lead a beginner ride at Arrowhead farms, doing a warmup green loop (1-2 miles) and the green/blue loop (5 miles). After this, we will have a nice lunch. Then the idea is after lunch to go to wolf creek where we will lead an intermediate trip. At Wolf Creek we’ll ride for another ~10-15 miles on trails that include some pretty lit optional black features. This inbetween time is a good spot for people to drop out – so if this is your first time mountain biking you should come to the morning half and then we can drop you off at an afternoon trip. Conveniently, I believe Afton is structuring the climbing trips in a similar beginner/intermediate way so if all works out well the beginners from climbing and biking can combine into a lit afternoon trip.

Bulleted schedule for the tldr ppl:
– beginner ride (6-8 miles)
– lunch
– at around 1 beginners are dropped off at another trip
– intermediate ride (10-15 miles)
– back to campsite

Additional notes:
– I will operate on a first come first serve basis, with the stipulation that I will curate a mix of beginner and intermediate riders
– the trip description holds six as the number of ppl. I hope we can have six, but it is also dependant on our ability to take 8 bikes (6+2)

also read this below:
During the ride, we will cover basic body position, braking, shifting, and everything to help you feel comfortable on the bike. The pace will be nice and slow with lots of breaks. The only prerequisite for this trip is being able to ride a bike comfortably and safely. Mtn biking can be considered dangerous and has inherent risks, so if you have any questions about it please do shoot me a text @ 434-995-8082

What to bring:
Water! and a small backpack to carry it, unless it will fit in a bike water bottle cage
Closed-toe shoes (tennis shoes or vans work great)
Sporty clothes (leggings or longer shorts are perfect)
Gloves (It will be a little chilly)

We will bring:
all the same stuff plus a first aid kit!
