NRGE Saturday Int. hike – Fayetteville, Long Point, and Kaymoor Trail Loop!

OVERVIEW

Hello my dudes,
I’ll be takin some of you fellow trekkers on a 8ish mile loop through some of the coolest parts of the gorge! We will begin on the Butchers Branch Trailhead while will lead us to the Long Point trail where we will do a ~2 mile out and back hike to the Long Point viewpoint. Then we will follow the Fayetteville Trail down into the gorge(this part is supposedly pretty steep), ending with our gradual hike back up to the parking via the Kaymoor trail. This will be a moderately difficult (rocky, lots of big roots, steep in places, etc) and long hike so please judge your ability accordingly; dont worry about pace we can take lots of breaks (and a food break) to look around at the awesome sights these trails have to offer!! Read the all trails link i put below to get an idea of all the cool stuffs we will see

You need:
* good ol’ sturdy hiking-apropriate shoes
* day pack with lunch and a couple of liters of water. do not forget your fuel!!!!
* layers!!! it might rain and it will be pretty chilly when we begin our hike.
* maybe some trekking poles if have/like using em

Plan is to drive to trailhead at 8am (20 min away from camp), hike, lunch it up, and get back to camp around 4-4:30 at the latest 🙂
