NRGE Saturday Long Point Sunset Hike

OVERVIEW

Want to go see a beautiful NRG-y sunset? Me too!

The general idea is to leave from Ray’s after we all return from our Saturday trips and do the 3 mile round-trip hike to Long Point to catch the sunset before returning to the campsite and having an epic evening of partying and friendship. The hike is 1.6 miles each way (there-and-back) and is graded as a moderate trail. For more, check out the All Trails: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/west-virginia/long-point

The plan:
5:30pm: Meet at Rays and head to the gorge! *If everyone is back at camp earlier, we can leave earlier*
5:45pm: Arrive @ long point trailhead and start hiking
6:30-7:15pm (maybe shorter): Catch the sunset
7:45ish: Head back to Rays
8pm: Back at Ray’s, time to PARTYYY

WHAT TO BRING:
Water
Snacks
Perhaps an extra layer
Headlamp/flashlight
Hiking shoes
