NRGE Sunday Long Point Sunrise Hike

OVERVIEW

Hey y’all, who doesn’t enjoy watching the sunrise? From the end of Long Point trail, we’ll get an amazing view of the east rim of the gorge, the bridge, and the sunrise on Sunday morning. It’s a 3-mile out-and-back hike with an elevation change of about 350 feet, so it should be a relatively straightforward hike and give us plenty of time to vibe with the view.

Ppl will get moved off the waitlist when the NRGE organizers sort out drivers and stuff. Remember if you get off to sign up for the carpool to NRGE!

Timeline
5:30 am – Wake up and get into cars
6:00 am – Arrive at trailhead
7:00 am – Get to the viewing point, eat breakfast, chill, take some beautiful pictures of the sunrise
9:00 am – Be back at the trailhead

To bring:
Water
Sturdy hiking shoes that you’re not afraid to get wet (forecast gives a pretty high chance of rain the days before)
Food
Camera if ya want
Rain jacket in case mother nature decides to ruin our view
Bug spray
Day pack
Headlight
