OVERVIEW

What up,

Many of you, like myself, have been riding O-hill a lot this year. It truly is a wondrous place full of rocks, drops, berms, unicorns, and the occasional hiker appearing around a blind turn.

Though its trail quality and accessibility are legend, the academy has determined there still remain a few locations that require slight modification in order to push the shredability meter of Observatory Hill past its maximum into hitherto uncharted waters.

The plan: We, the peanut gallery, will meet at the ODC house around 8:30am and travel directly to Bodos for some food reimbursable by the club (this is a service trip after all). After this pit stop we will collect bikes and various trail building apparatuses and mosey on up to the general vicinity of the jump line. From that point on we will alternate building and/or shredding until we are too exhausted to continue (*shredding is not actually required to join this adventure).

Some notes: While this trip is open to the everyone who is interested, as a disclaimer the lines we will be building and riding are more in the intermediate/ advanced category (*again you don’t have to ride if you don’t want to).

Additionally, it is gonna be like 90 degrees Saturday– bring a ton of water (read about 2 liters each if not more). I envision us being out there until we build something cool or it is too hot to continue, probably around 1pm ish. Afterwards a river float may be in order.

Finally, everyone is responsible for getting there own bike and helmet from the club (if you want to ride that is). Let me know if you have any questions.
