Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
O-Hill
It sure has been a while since I have led a [successful] trip, so here’s a relatively relaxed, low time commitment, last minute trip!
Something that has been recently brought to my attention is the fact that there’s a pretty dandy trail system that snakes all around the woods of our very own Observatory Hill. Now I don’t know about you, but I’ve only been relatively close to those trails a whopping one time in my two semesters at UVA. And frankly, I am quite sick of have unexplored wilderness nearby. So come join me as I improvise an exploratory hike through the O’Hill trails!
The plan is to meet by Echols at 4pm and walk up the hill, then figure it out from there. I’ll set the end time for the adventure to be roughly 5:30pm to give us some quality exploring and bonding time, but we can always end earlier or later. Maybe, if we like each other we can all conclude with a nice lil feast at the Observatory Hill Dining Hall, during which we will bask in the glory of having conquered the namesake of said building!
What to bring:
-Maybe water but in all seriousness we’ll be walking around the woods for a couple of hours so you could do without any
-Dress appropriately, the weather looks like it’ll be nice so maybe shorts instead of jeans?
-Good walking shoes if you’re into that kind of thing
-Eagerness to make new best friends and bond inseparably over a short period of time, without even having to go far away
-Some jokes/stories/conversation topics
-some sort of self-defense tools or mechanisms because who know what we’ll find out there
