Sure I’ve biked at Heyward a couple of times but until last week I’d never truly BIKED at Heyward. Max^2 took me on an amazing tour of all the INCREDIBLE trails Heyward has to offer, plenty of which are new. Showing me all these trails opened a whole new world of local riding to me and we want to do the same for some of you. That being said, this is not an intermediate trip as some of these trails are more so on the intermediate-advanced side. Some trails have small mandatory drops (peep my incredible (not) form in the trip picture) and gaps which are mostly rollable but not completely. Being more than comfortable on intermediate trips is ideal for this ride but if you have any questions please reach out (you can find our numbers on our profiles).
We’re hoping for this trip to be on the longer end for a local ride, roughly 15 miles 2500 feet (a small portion of which will be on the road), so keep that in mind.
If you don’t have your own mountain bike or helmet, let us know on the trip questionnaire and we’ll try to secure you a club bike/helmet. Currently somewhat limited on bikes but we’ll do our best!
You bring:
– Water: 2-3L
– Food: snacks and even a lunch?
– Appropriate clothing/footwear
– Gloves are recommended for keeping the fingers working in the cold and protecting your hands from scrapes if you fall – $10 Mechanix work gloves are great
– A bag to carry your water and food: the club has some daypacks if you need one (let us know in the questionnaire)

Schedule:
9:30am – meet at shrack and grab bikes
9:45am – bike bike bike
1pm – return to shrack and put up bikes
