Believe it or not, it’s supposed to be beautiful weather on Saturday. Celebrate your survival with a one Virginia’s classic hikes.
The view from the top of old rag is spectacular, and helped me to understand why this land was designated a “National” park.
Even if you hate hiking, it’s a must do.
So here’s the plan: we meet up at bonnycastle at 10:00 and sort out the vehicle situation. Then, it’s off to the mountains, about 1 ½ hours drive northwest of town. Hike to the summit where we’ll enjoy our packed lunches and take in a spectacular view. Bounce around on the boulders if you’re so inclined, take a few photos, then it’s back down the trail and home in time to catch the Guano boys at starr hill….
