Old Homesite Hike (Creekathon!)

OVERVIEW

I’m a huge fan of chimney and foundation ruins in the woods, and lucky for us, Walnut Creek park contains the ruins of 4 old homesites! We’re going to go on a hike to see as many of them as we can. There are 3 included in a loop of around 3-3.5 miles, and another on a side out-and back trip of about a mile. We’ll hit up the 3 on the loop first, and go to the last one only if we have time. We’ll be hiking a bit fast, but it still should be pretty manageable if you’re a beginner! Also, even if ruins aren’t your thing, there is still lots of pretty nature to look at instead.
