OLD RAG DURING PEAK FOLIAGE??? oh em gee

OVERVIEW

who can think of a better time to tackle old rag then when its PEAK??? i’ve been wanting to do The Rag™ since moving here and i am up for the challenge.

THIS IS A HARD HIKE (or so i’ve heard). i will only be accepting people who are avid hikers with a lot of experience and who feel comfortable doing a strenuous hike with rock scrambles and steep climbs. we will be combatting a 2,000+ foot incline (wow!)

the plan:
8am: meet at shrack (i know its early! i know! im sorry!)
9:30am: hike hike hike hike
12(?): lunch time.
4:00pm: finish hike!
5:30pm: home & sleep

things to bring:
– so much water. at least 2 or 3 bottles
– lunch and maybe snacks if you feel so inclined
– good hiking shoes PLEASE
– layers for chilly weather
– anything else you want

you must buy a day pass after being accepted (only $2 per person), and i will be prioritizing people who can drive and/or have a shenandoah pass. i will text you all before the date, but please only sign up if you are sure you can commit to this date so we can be fair to everyone on the waitlist.
