Old Ragtime

Hey Folks
Who else is excited and also mildly freaked out/worried that it is going to be a balmy 60 degrees this here weekend? Come celebrate (or fret?) this occasion with me on the summit of Old Rag, “Shenandoah’s most popular and most dangerous hike” (NPS).

The Deats: Old Rag is a 9ish mile hike/rock scramble about an hour away in Shenandoah Park. We will leave from Echols at 10 am promptly and return around 6:30,7. We’ll be on the mountain round lunch time so bring some food for yourself. Also, please only sign up if you feel like you are in a good enough shape to do a solid 9 miles. We might be racing the sunset on the way down and don’t want to be caught in the dark. I will waitlist everyone until we have drivers.

Whacha need:
Food for lunch
A healthy serving of water
Sturdy shoes
$5 if no one has a park pass
Flashlight/Headlamp/Luminary Device

Drivers and People with a park pass will receive the highest of priority.
