Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Dobie Mountain
HELLO UVA outdoors club! I have yet another free weekend, so of course I want to go to the woods. This Saturday I want to hike Dobie Mountain. It’s supposed to be a beautiful hike, and it’s very close to Charlottesville. Additionally, this weekend is supposed to be 55 degrees and sunny. NOTE: I am co-leading this trip with Vinay Garimella
The Plan:
– Leave from Echols Dorm at 11 PM
– Drive 1 hour to the parking area; arrive around 12 PM
– Hike 3.5 miles to the summit and 3.5 miles back
– Drive back to c’ville; arrive around 4:30 PM
What To Bring:
– Sturdy Hiking Shoes or Boots
– Water (2 Liters)
– Layers (just in case)
– Lunch
– Snacks
**DRIVERS DESPERATELY NEEDED!! Drivers allow those of us without cars to get off grounds and experience the great outdoors. Remember drivers get reimbursed for gas plus a 50% tip
