drivers get gas reimbursed plus a 50% tip and priority off the waitlist!! *please show up to echols with a full tank of gas*
Finals season is in full swing, clem is packed at all hours of the day and I’m desperate… like REALLY desperate to experience something other than artificial indoor light for at least a short period of time. I know everyone and their mothers has hiked humpback, but this was my first trip with the club so why not end the semester just like I started it.
~THE PLAN~
Meet at echols at 6 (please do not be late I really don’t want to miss this sunrise!)
Book it to humpback and arrive at the trailhead around 6:30
send it up to the top (steep, ~1 mile with ~800 feet elevation gain)
reach the top around 7 and watch the sunrise (7:19) and pray to the gods we get that 4.0 this semester
head back to cville and arrive no later than 9 (if someone wants to stop for breakfast we can talk about that later)
To Bring:
water
flashlight/headlamp
sturdy shoes
layers!!! it gets pretty warm when you’re hiking up but it’s rather cold up at the summit
I know finals are a pretty good excuse for not taking part in outdoors shenanigans, but let’s be real, will you really be up before 9 anyway so c’mon join this trip!
