If you’re still around during break and would like to try your hand at being creative with natural materials from the woods this might be the adventure for you! We will travel up to some wooded land my family owns up in Madison County, hike a short ways into the woods, and build a campfire. We can then use materials on the land and others I will bring to make your own cordage, fire-sculpted wooden bowls, knife blades and arrow heads. We can also make Christmas wreaths and ornaments from the evergreens and hollies on the property that need to be pruned and anything else your creativity can come up with.
Please dress for cold weather and bring a lunch, water, and knife for carving. (I have a few extras I can share if you don’t have one) An old blanket to sit on could be useful as well. See you soon!
