Outdoors style beach week for FREE!

Want to go to Beach Week? Don’t want to spend loads of money? Gotta see mommy for Mothers Day?

Monday the 12th we are going to travel down to Oregon Inlet, NC. This is a SWEET campground right on the beach in the Outer Banks. There is a layer of awesome dunes between us and a beautiful beach.

Costs for lodging, food and gas are covered by the Outdoors Club. Some activities might cost extra (fishing gear, pier access) so bring some green. All-you-can-eat King Crab legs one night could set ya back about $25 so plan accordingly. Some of the activities include:

Crabing
Surfing!!!
Fishing
Shark Fishing
Back flips off of dunes
Fireworks
Dune parties
Swimming
Tanning

This is the description from the campground.
“Oregon Inlet Campground Close to the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center and the Bodie Island Lighthouse. Modern toilets, drinking water, cold showers, grills, a dump station and picnic tables available. The campground is near the ocean in a flat, sandy area with very little shade. If you tent camp, bring extra-long stakes and mosquito repellent.”

I have been here a few times so this is a list of some things you might want to bring.
Tent, fishing gear, kite, extra stakes and rope (really windy), flashlight, frisbee, beach towel, cooler with beverages, rain jacket, umbrella for shade.

Even if you already have plans, it doesn’t get any better than free!
