Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Panther Falls
UPDATE: I just realized April 19 is actually Good Friday and Passover and then Saturday is 4/20 so I actually can’t go so I decided to move the trip back a week to this weekend.
September 29, 2017 is a date that will always live in infamy: on September 29, 2017, I went on my first ever Outdoors trip.
On September 29, 2017, after a long night of shenanigans, I woke up, went to my Calc class, bought tons of candy, and got picked up by Blair Nicol and the rest of the group so that we could go to Panther Falls. It was a perfect day: the sun was shining, the birds were singing, the water was perfect, and the M&M’s were delicious. And now that I am almost at the halfway point of my UVA career, I have decided that perhaps it is time for me to return to my roots and go to Panther Falls. AND, since I will be returning to my roots, I will also buy a bowl of El Jefe from Roots so that I can eat Roots while I return to my roots.
The plan:
-meet up at 5:00 pm, and drive all the way to Panther Falls, arriving at around 7:30pm
-Hike, camp, swim, jump, eat, bool, stargaze, go to sleep?
-wake up early in the morning of Saturday morning, maybe catch a sunrise if people are down
-head back home right on time to celebrate 4/20
THINGS TO BRING:
-Swimsuit and towels
-Layers (it should be warm but just in case)
-Hammock/Tent/Sleeping bag/Sleeping pad
-Extra clothes and such
-Headlamps
-Friday dinner / Saturday breakfast / snacks (I’ll be bringing a Roots bowl for myself if anybody also wants to bring one and join me)
