Paranormal Activity – 6 Hour Mtb Race

OVERVIEW

Join the UVa Mountain Bike team (and greater Charlottesville cycling community) at Blue Ridge Cyclery’s annual Paranormal Activity 6-hour mountain bike race for a night filled with fun and sweat! The race is set up so you can either ride solo or on a team with a friend. It’s super laid back and a lot of fun — you can race for a few laps or do the entire 6 hours if you really want to. Last year, Charlottesville’s own Ben King, 2010 US National Road champion and current Team Radioshack-Nissan pro cyclist was there (he and his little brother won the duo male category).

You can either register by yourself or with a friend for $45 each or join the cycling club (dues are $60/semester) and be able to join us for the cyclocross race season — see http://acccycling.org/Schedule.html . I’m pretty sure that the dues will cover the Paranormal race again this year (I’ll update this if I find out that they won’t). I’m mostly using this trip to advertise the race and organize rides.
