Corner Of Echols Dorm
Corner Of Echols Dorm
Tidal Basin, Washington, DC, USA
I have never seen DC when the cherry blossoms are out. They are projected to be in peak bloom on the weekend of Saturday, March 25th, so I want to make an excursion to see the blooms in their full glory! This loop is a very easy 4 miles through the traditional cherry blossom viewing trail. We will also get to check out the National Mall and any monuments you want to see, but we can stop our walk whenever! It is extremely chill so anyone should be able to sign up for this trip.
THE PLAN:
10:00AM- leave Charlottesville
12:30PM- arrive in DC, find parking, and start walking our loop
12:30PM-3:30PM/whenever- take snazzy photos, observe blossoms, eat lunch, head back whenever
6:00PM/7:00PM- back to Charlottesville (I wouldn’t have anything important planned in case we decide to savor our time with the blossoms, but we can leave whenever people want)
BRING:
– appropriate clothing
– lunch or money for lunch
– oohs and aahs for the pretty flowers
