Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Peak Experiences Climbing Gym
Come get your climb on at the best gym around… and for just half the normal student price! ($7 versus $14)
Peak… Home of well set routes (top rope and lead) from 5.6 to 5.13 and a decent size bouldering cave with problems from VB to V6 or so.
I dont think anyone will be around to let me in the gear room, so if you need gear you might have to rent it from peak. I can bring one harness and a few ATC’s if anyone needs them, but I don’t have any shoes. Peak does!
I’ll start with a 9 person trip size since I can take 4 people and I’m pretty sure someone will sign up who can take 5 if need be, but she drives all the time so we should give her a break if possible! If there’s a waitlist and you end up on it, check your email frequently, because I have no intention of turning anyone down.
Oh and we’ll probably stop at Wawa on the way back, so bring $ for that.
Trip requirements: It would be nice if you have passed Peak’s belay test, but not a necessity. You can always take it. Peak does not allow someone to learn how to belay and take the test in the same night, however. If you don’t know how to belay, we can get you on enough climbs to make you tired and you can boulder. If you don’t have gear, you may need to rent from Peak. (Extra $, I’m not sure how much)
Club provides: Transportation, Ga$ money + 30% if you drive, cool peeps, etc.
You provide: Good Karma. Smiling faces. Wear deodorant. In the right places.
