OVERVIEW

howdy y’all!! now that the weather is chilly who else is itchin’ to get on some rocks? well do I have a solution for you! myself and eliza are gonna lead a few of you down to a lovely spot just off the blue ridge parkway called the forest. at this wonderful locale one can: 1. “that’s a nice boulder”, and 2. ride those babies like the pioneers used to! in all seriousness, i love this spot and am really excited to show some newer climbers!

disclaimer: for this trip you do not need to have outside bouldering experience however, you’ll need to at least be able to confidently boulder some v2s in the gym. if you’re not bouldering comfortably at that level yet, maybe wait for the next opportunity

so, this is how it’s gonna go down:
-everyone gather at echols
-8:30am (ideally) ~ leave for the forest
-9:15am ~ arrive at the trail head and make the approach to the boulders
-9:30am-2pm ~ give the big rocks some nice hugs, they deserve it
-2ishpm ~ head back to cville

packing list:
-water
-some food for lunch and snack
-bring layers it’ll be chilly in the morning
-chalk and climbing shoes
-water

p.s. if you have a car that is pretty roomy it would be very appreciated and worth mentioning as we’ve got to stuff some crash pads inside along with us
