Howdy
Anyone want to go kayaking down some of the doper southeastern rivers while in Pisgah? Dope dope, yeah, let’s do that. Anywho, there’s a trip to Pisgah, North Carolina March 23rd-26th. There are a ton of classic rivers in the area to check out, like the French Broad, Nantahala, Tallulah, and Wilson’s creek.
Notes:
This is an intermediate trip, all of these rivers are at least class 3-4ish so you needs some experience kayaking class 3-4 rapids
Also, you must be on the waitlist for the main carpool to join this trip
You don’t have to kayak every day to sign up for this trip (the Tallulah might get rowdy)
Deets:
The very very rough plan as of now is to drive down with the main carpool at varying times on Thursday, Paddle section 9 of the French Broad on Friday, hit the Tallulah or Nantahala on Saturday, get on the Nantahala or Wilson’s Creek on the way out Sunday morning, and then finish up and try to get cell service in time for my fantasy baseball draft Sunday night (wish me luck)!

All the camping gear and whatnot needed for the main pisgah trip
Helmet, Pfd, paddle, skirt, kayak, throwbag if u got one
Dry gear/wet gear, it’s still gonna be chilly in March
All of this gear can be provided by the club, just let us know what you need
A good sense of humor about the chaos that might ensue
Anyways, thanks for reading (or probably skimming through) all of that, and hope to see you there!
