PISGAH SAT INT MTB @ bent creek

OVERVIEW

maybe youre feeling….. bent….. out of shape????? this is the ride for you. bent creek!

the plan is to ride a longer, but intermediate, 20 mile loop advertised to my delight as “no hike-a-bike”. (i’m not making promises, but mtb proj is!!!!!) check out the route here: https://www.mtbproject.com/trail/7042687/bent-creek-epicito

this route looks like an awesome exploration of what pisgah has to offer – with lots of climbs and descents, some sections of harder technical riding, and explorations. this route has 2,600 ft of elevation gain, so there will be climbing but nothing looks too crazy. this area is rather a maze- with lots of trails to try and ways to extend or shorten this ride as the group wants. we can play it by ear based on how everyone is feeling! and how excited we are about getting back to some parking lot bevvys.

***once you are OFF this waitlist you should make sure to fill out the pisgah form and also join the pisgah main trip waitlist

We’ll provide:
– Bikes/helmets
– Bike racks
– Pumps, tools, etc

You bring:
– Water: around 3L
– Food: lunch and snacks
* rides are known to go a bit longer than planned sometimes, so think a few extra granola bars and a few extra sips of water than you think you will actually need
– Appropriate clothing/footwear/sunscreen/
– Gloves are recommended for keeping the fingers working in the cold and protecting your hands from scrapes if you fall – $10 Mechanix work gloves are great
– A bag to carry your water and food: the club has some daypacks if you need one (let us know in the questionnaire)
