Gate to Leander McCormick Observatory (Top of O'Hill)
Somewhere on O'Hill
Leander McCormick Observatory, McCormick Road, Charlottesville, VA, USA
Come join Center For Urban Habitats’ Senior Field Technician and botany extraordinaire, Drew Chaney, for the latest Winter Plant Walk series event. This weekly event will explore natural history in the winter landscape. We will visit multiple types of forest and woodland ecosystems and learn how to identify the trees and shrubs that occur in them using bark, buds, twigs, and other clues.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Virginia’s top botanists in the field. No question will go unanswered!
