Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Patricia Ann Byrom Forest Preserve
Let’s frolic in the lush Virginia greenery.
Deets:
– Drive out to Patricia Ann Byrom Forest Preserve in Crozet, about 35 min each way.
– Hit a nice 4 mile loop with ~1,000ft elevation gain. This is a nice route to get into trail running if you’ve never been before. There are some additional trails that we could add in to extend the mileage if that floats your boat.
– Max 4 people
Pace:
I typically run 8:00 min mile pace, but can adjust as necessary. If we have enough people we’ll split up by pace.
What to bring:
Good running shoes (with tread please)
1-2L water
Post run snackos
Light, non-cotton layers (it’s gonna be hawt)
Clean layers for the car (if you get real schweaty like I do)
Inhaler/glucose/ whatever else you need to run
What I’ll bring:
First aid kit
Headlamp
Electrolytes
We may get a classic summer T-storm that afternoon, so if you sign up be sure to keep an eye on your email in case we have to cancel due to weather.
