Post NRGE sunday silly climbing

OVERVIEW

We really want to exploit the ODC trad rack this weekend and take a gander at bridge butt this sunday after NRGE. We just want to use the trad rack really. We love the way the smooth aluminum alloys clang and clatter against our legs as they suspend from the harness loops. It makes one feel alive and that life really is not so bad. We’re gonna go and it’s gonna be awesome. Will set up a bunch of routes and practice placements and maybe lead some stuff if we feel sendy. There’s a line where you can just jam your entire body in there. It looks kinda disgusting but we should try it. Maybe if you just keep going in you’ll find the 12th dimension on the other side. Nobody has tried this yet.
All you need for this trip is the spirit of nigh. You must be emboldened by the desire to eventually be able to manually place a piece of metal in rocks and trust that it’s strong enough to hold your life on.
In all seriousness we’re gonna set up some top ropes and practice trad placements on some stuff. We have to be back in cville by 6pm though because I have a slaughter shift rip. So we’ll try to leave Ray’s promptly in the morning.

Please make sure you have all the equipment you need for climbing. harness shoes chalk belay device helmet. we’ll have ropes trad rack draws quads and all that good stuff.
It’s probably best to come do this if you have had a good amount of experience climbing outdoors before. But lowkey its fine either way
