Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Walnut Creek Park
Hey guys, let’s revel in the Glory of Nature by ripping through it at mach velocities whilst sitting atop iron steeds. Bootiful Walnut Creek Park is a mere 20 minute jaunt to the South so excessive school work is no excuse not to come.
This trip is for bikers who have had little to no experience on a mountain bike and hope to learn or improve their skills. Walnut Creek has a great beginner loop and more advanced trails depending on skill level, so we’ll start off easy and move to more advanced terrain based on the level of the group. No MTB experience is necessary, you just need to know how to ride a bike and be open to trying something new. We will not ride anything that anyone does not feel comfortable with. If you are not a beginner biker, PLEASE do not sign up for this trip.
The club has some great hardtail bikes, sized from small to large, which can be checked out along with helmets (helmets ARE REQUIRED for this trip). Please bring athletic shoes and clothing, water or gatorade (20 oz. bottles fit the holders), and sunglasses depending on the weather. Since I’ll be carrying bikes, I’m going to waitlist everyone until more drivers sign up.
We’ll meet at Echols Sunday morning and grab the bikes then, so there’s no need to do that beforehand
