The more relevant question is do you like to rock climb or have you ever wanted to learn to rock climb? If your answer is “yes”, then this is a great chance to get some climbing in. To be explicit, this trip is open to beginning climbers and experienced climbers alike.
Bouldering is simply climbing on boulders: as long as the boulders are not so tall, then you don’t need a rope, and instead we can put crash pads on the ground to cushion any fall. Moormans boulders is certainly not be a large crag, but it offers a great variety of climbs for its size and its proximity to grounds.
Let’s meet at 10am, and head into the gear room to try on climbing shoes / check them out. I’ve set the limit at 8, expecting at least one more driver to sign up. That could change based on how many drivers + other experienced boulders sign up.
The default plan will be to come back to Charlottesville a bit before rides go out to Walnut Creek.
