Pre-Creekathon Intro to Fly Fishing

OVERVIEW

If you missed (or were waitlisted) on the previous intro to fly fishing trip, here is another chance! While you will have to buy a fishing license for this trip, I’ll also see if we can bring a canoe along.

Let’s plan to meet at Echols at 12:30 and head over to Walnut Creek Park. I’ll probably fish until 3 or whenever I get hungry. I don’t know when I’ll head back, but if you leave in another car, just be sure to leave club gear with me.

You Bring:
– Layered clothing
– Sunscreen, (polarized) sunglasses
– Fishing License ($23 for 1 year statewide freshwater)
– A side dish for Creekathon!

Club Provides:
– A ride (gas $$ + tip for drivers)
– Fishing equipment

Lastly, I won’t plan on keeping any fish. If you think you’d like to keep any fish you catch, you should bring an appropriate container to take it back with you (or possibly cook it there).
