Pre-Extravaganza Snowshoe Trip

OVERVIEW

The climbing gods have cursed me and I can’t climb again, so I’ve decided to go skiing instead.

Snow is in the forecast! Let’s head to Snowshoe and get a good shred in before the long weekend trip.

Drivers with 4WD are needed!!! These trails begin at the summit, so our car must make it up the mountain before we can have some fun.

This is an all skill level trip – I can and will be on every slope, but can also be a beginner for the day (I’ve been meaning to learn switchside for some time now).

Snowshoe has rentals available at the resort, as well as day lift tickets. Check out their online tickets for a small discount. Do NOT purchase a lift ticket until I remove you from the waitlist. If you plan to visit Snowshoe multiple times this semester, I recommend looking at the season pass (with a college discount, it is a pretty decent deal).

The Plan:
Leave from SAB at 6am, drive ~3hrs to Snowshoe, shred, head out at ~4pm, grab some food, back in Cville by 8pm latest

What to Bring:
-Ski gear
-Board/Skis (or $$ for rentals)
-Pass/Lift Ticket (or $$ for ticket)
-Snacks (or $$ for food)
-Water
-Change of clothes?
