Pumpkins, Memes, and Hikes: Oh My!

so that was possibly the weirdest title for a hike ever but hear me out on this one. blackrock summit is one of my favorite hikes in the area (coincidence that it’s only .5 miles to the top….) but I did win the “meme queen” senior superlative in high school. let’s combine the two plus throw in some pumpkins for spooky szn and create a fab adventure!

here’s the plan:
-leave cville around 3:30 pm
-drive 1 hour to blackrock
-hike (literally will take 10 minutes tops)
-set up our site. we will have pumpkins and the “what do you meme” board game. if you don’t know what it is, look it up. other board games welcome as well but the meme one is the main attraction here. as for the pumpkins, we will pumpkin carve bc spooky szn! harris teeter @ barracks has pumpkins for CHEAP. this is a BYOP event, ya know? if people really want to come and are absolutely offended by the idea of having to get their own pumpkin, text me and I’ll help ya out.
-watch sunset, leave around 7, back in cville at 8

you bring:
-SNP pass if you have one, $5 if you do not
-PUMPKIN
-carving tools if you have them lol
-TRASH BAG for your pumpkin insides bc leave no trace!
-headlamp or phone flashlight
-water/other snacks
-sturdy shoes
-a desire to beat me in my reigning title of meme queen
