Corner Of Echols Dorm
Corner Of Echols Dorm
600 Morven Drive, Charlottesville, VA, USA
With the abnormally warm weather on Friday, I wanted to get my hands dirty and touch some plants!! Morven Kitchen Garden is UVA’s wonderful project in sustainable agriculture. Every time I volunteer here I have such an amazing time. We’ll show up, work in the garden, and (hopefully) get to take home a bit of fresh produce!
This trip is beginner-friendly, and the volunteer work is mostly small manual labor tasks, like harvesting produce, weeding, etc. Be sure to bring water/snacks and clothes you feel comfortable gardening in that will also keep you warm!!
I has a commitment until 3, so we’ll be showing up slightly late to the volunteering, we’ve checked with the coordinator and this is totally fine 🙂
The plan:
3:00 pm – leave from corner of Echols
3:30 – 5 pm – volunteer!
5:30 pm – back home
IMPORTANT: YOU MUST ALSO SIGN UP AT THIS LINK AND FILL OUT THE WAIVER! The waiver will be emailed to you after you sign up, also you don’t need to mark that you need a ride because it’ll be provided through the club
