OVERVIEW

This trip is for all levels of climbers, 5.6-5.12+. If you know how to belay you are welcome to join.
If you never climbed quartzite, I recommend it. Interesting features….

Pilot Mt is in N-Carolina about 3 hours and half driving from Charlottesville. We climb Sat, camp Sat night and climb Sun.

from rockclimbing.com:
‘The sports routes start in the ampitheater, and has some high quality climbs ranging from 5.7-5.12d/13a…’

pictures of the routes look really tempting:

Past weekend we climbed in another N-Carolina spot. it was very fun. but we have never been in the pilot Mt. area, therefore if you join please be ready to be lost. I will gather as much info as I can, so far looks easy to locate but you never know.

Everybody goes to the waitlist this time because I would like to select a large and balanced group of beginner-advanced climbers.

If you want to come back earlier Sunday, please do not sign up this trip.

we will do shopping for Sat dinner and Sun breakfast in charlottesville before we leave.

club provides: climbing and camping gear, gas refund, food for Sat night and Sun breakfast.
you please bring: water (min. 3L), snacks, lunch, money for dinner on the way back if you want to eat. bug spray, proper clothes, personal camping stuff including Lens liquid (if you wear)!!.
