Hello hello hellooooooo my fellow queer shredders (or shredders to be!)

My thursdays are wide open, and as I will be spending fall break in the big apple far far away from my favorite bike trails, I wanna hit them one last time before I leave. As you may have noticed I love leading mountainbiking affinity trips, and this time I wanted to have a queer bike trip! This means that if you identify as part of the LGBTQ+/Queer community, and want to learn how to mountainbike, or have experience but want a queer space to bike, or have been on a few trips but want some pointers or a refresher, you should sign up to come bike with me!

As the title mentions, this will be a BEGINNER TRIP. This means that you do not have to have ANY experience mountainbiking to sign up. All you need to know is how to ride a bike. Though mountainbiking can be intimidating, on this trip we will take it slow, simple and at the pace and energy level of those who sign up. I have an easy few routes planned out that can totally be adjusted based on how we are all feeling, and also everything is walkable! We will take the pace super slow, take plenty of breaks, and walk anything we need to. I will also be giving tips and showing y’all how to ride the small features we will be encountering along the way, for those who are interested.

As stated, this trip is beginner, which means we will be doing not much milage, and going slow as needed, so the time frame for the trip is very loose. I gave us two hours so that we can take our time, but it may not necessarily take the entire time depending on how slow we take it and how many trails we decide to bike. The basic plan is to meet at the Shred Shack garage (the big green door at the end of the driveway at 116 Washington Avenue), get our bikes together, and head up to ohill trails. There, we will bike a few short loops and then head back down to the shrack to put away bikes and go on our merry ways.

If you feel nervous about signing up in terms of bike ability, have any questions, or do not want to sign up for the trip on the website for any reason, shoot me a text at (804) 980-5222 and I will answer any questions/get you on the trip without need for a public website sign up. And again PLEASE only sign up if you identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community!
