Ragged Mountain-Hot Cocoa, Hike, and Hammock

OVERVIEW

Hey y’all!
So Susannah and I were talking about how awesome this weather is for some hot cocoa, and then we thought dang its also some nice weather for hiking, and wait hammocking too?!?! So we thought we’d combine them all and create one awesome all inclusive expedition THIS SATURDAY!!!

Basically we are going to hiking on Ragged’s 7 mile trail around the reservoir until we find the perfect spot to set up our hammock city! (We aren’t going to go around the entire reservoir probably like 2-3 miles then just set up a little bit off of the trail.)

The plan:
-Meet at Echols Dorm at 10:00
-10 min drive to Ragged
-Begin hiking at like 10:15
-Hike, Hammock, and Hot Cocoa (duh) until at latest 1:30
-10 min drive back to grounds
-Be back at Echols at 1:45

What to bring:
-1-2 liters of water
-Good hiking shoes
-LAYERS
-Hammock
-Snacks if you want(you’ll probably want some:))
-Cup for Hot Cocoa
-Optional: Daypack to carry your stuff

What we will bring:
-Water and stove for Hot Cocoa
-Maybe Homemade cookies if I have enough time to make them???
-I have an extra Crazy Creek so if you don’t have a hammock you can you borrow this

We do have a car but can only bring 3 other people with us, so another driver would be lovely. Since Ragged is so close there is no reimbursement for driving, but you WILL be paid with an awesome time(and hopefully cookies).
