Reading Day Stony Man Mountain

Let’s try this again – didn’t get drivers last time but a reading day is a better than ever time to squeeze in a hike yeah?!?!?! Stony Man has views, wonderful views, is long enough to get in a workout but not so long it takes all day.

We will depart at 9am. The drive should be 90 minutes each way, and the hike should be roughly 3 to 3.5 hours. I’ll round up and say we will be back by 4pm at the very latest.

DRIVERS ARE NEEDED AND GET PRIORITY SIGNUP. Drivers, you are much appreciated and get 50% tip.

Please bring:
-LAYERS OF WARM CLOTHING (it’s gonna be cold, much colder than cville)
-sturdy shoes, the hike is 3.7 miles
-water (2L)
-lunch/snacks – we can eat at the main overlook!
-SNP park pass if you have one or $5 cash. I have a pass but if we get multiple cars then I can only use my pass for one car.
