OVERVIEW

WOWZA this weekend is supposed to be 70 degrees AGAIN!! despite rumors of our last stokesville trip… this time there are tentative promises of no hike a bike… and admittedly instead a rather long road climb to what is promised to be an awesome descent off timber & wolf ridge. we will be riding a good bit of mileage during the day and going through some harder descent trails (wolf & timber ridge), so you should be ready for a longer day in the mountains and be comfortable going down rocky, steep, techy terrain. that being said, stokesville biking big time rocks!!

The route we have planned is a combo between part of the narrowback loop (a flowy solid intermediate trail that we will do about 8 miles of https://www.mtbproject.com/trail/3771756/narrowback-mountain-loop) and the wolf ridge & timber ridge descent (a more techy tight steep downhill section that we will get to by climbing up a portion of road https://www.mtbproject.com/trail/7001381/reddish-knob-timber-ridge-to-wolf-ridge). All in all the route totals out to about 27 miles with ~5,000 ft of climbing throughout the day, so definitely a fair bit of miles and elevation. We plan to start out with the road climb and descent of timber and wolf ridge, then save the flowy fun! of narrowback for later in the day. *look at these mtb project links, really, actually they have helpful information!
