REI Garage Sale + Intro to Lead Climbing

OVERVIEW

REI is having their infamous garage sale the weekend of feb 8th. These usually have some insanely cheap, slightly used or damaged gear which we dirtbags love! We got to get there early to get the best stuff. Which is why we are leaving at 5:30am.

Since we will already be in Richmond, the plan is to go climb at Manchester Wall afterwards. This is an excellent place to learn how to lead climb although all beginner climbers are welcome!

Since we are rad. I’m planning on whipping out a camp stove in line and cooking up some breakfast. Happy to share just let me know so I can bring enough.

The plan:
Leave at 5:30 am
Arrive and get in line 6:30ish
Enter rei and shop! 8:00am
Get to Manchester wall 10am
Get home to c’ville 5pm.

Lunch and snacks
Water
climbing harness
climbing shoes
belay device
jacket
gloves

I bring:
all the other climbing stuffs
