Rei Garage Sale!

OVERVIEW

For those of you who don’t know what the REI Garage Sale is…

“This is a ‘Member Only’ event where we sell off most of our returned products at extreme discounts. This is likely the busiest day you will see at REI so prepare for a crowd. Discounts will range from 30-60% off (!!!) retail cost. The sale will be inside the store, so for safety’s sake we may need to have short wait periods to stagger shopper volume. (whaat?!!!!) RESPECT is one of our core values, so out of respect for all of our members, please refrain from grabbing armfuls of product.(!!!!) This allows everyone the chance to get great gear.”

So basically when you inevitably find out that all your christmas presents suck, YOU CAN GET EVERYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLE EVER WANT 4 DAYS LATER! although apparently you might have to fight someone for it.

It’s worth it.

For anyone that wants to go, we are going to camp out in RVA to make sure we are first in line. Then we will pillage.

It is a REI MEMBERS ONLY event, which means that you have to pay 20$ to become a member and get a special card. Lame. But, at least its a lifetime membership so you can go to the garage sale even when your old and gross. I should also mention that the card takes 2-3 weeks to get to your house, so you should get on that.

Bring:
money.

tents, air mattresses/sleeping bags/sleeping pads/your car/(cots.. silly), warm clothes, whatever else you think you need to camp in a parking lot.
