Rock – Church – Bear – Hike?

This hike?, Bear Rock Church comes highly recommended to me as one of the more untouched and beautiful views of the Shenandoah National Park. Not too far out of the way, this hike goes along a short section of the Appalachian trail, shows great vistas, and has a chance to summit the third highest peak in the SNP.

This past weekend our journey was somewhat thwarted, so come spend this Sunday hiking in one of the most beautiful parks [that is, to the wonderful Church. Rock, Hike? (Bear)] in the most glorious state of Virginia and get see some wonderful new places all the while getting in some super solid exercise.

Should be a pretty good time, with good people. Come one come all!

Logistics:

Things to bring (Water bottle, snacks or a small lunch if desired, sturdy footwear & athletic clothing!)
Hike Difficulty( 5/10 )
Hiking Time (3.5-4 hours)
Hike Distance (~10 mi, low elevation gain)
Distance from Cville (1.25 hr, 38 mi)
Forecast (80 high, partly cloudy)
Club provides (Gas money for drivers!)
Amount of calories to burn; approximate, 135ib (1750!!)

===Caveat===
As always, we need ample drivers to get this trip to work, please sign up if you can drive, and you will get preference to the trip! Gas money provided! Given another driver, I will take up to 10 people.

Also, a small fee of 2 dollars is given for the park entrance, but if you have a park pass, please bring it. I will try to work something out at the gate.
