Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Rivanna River
Get excited for the first Outdoors Club service trip! This Saturday is World Water Day, so what could be a better way to celebrate than helping the Nature Conservancy clean up Meadow Creek along the Rivanna River? We’ll meet up around 12:10 (I know, kind of oddly specific) to head out to the stream to do some clean up. It should last until about 2:30, so you’ll still have plenty of time to either go and enjoy the rest of the beautiful day outside, or catch up on all that work you didn’t do over spring break.
You should bring:
boots or closed toed shoes
long pants
gloves (they will provide some if you don’t have any)
water
snacks if ya like
a camera if you want to document your Good Samaritan ways
We need 10 people for this trip and my car can only fit five including me so it would be great if one or two more people would sign up to drive. The club won’t reimburse for gas seeing as it’s under a 10 minute drive.
Saturday is supposed to be 63 degrees so it will be a beautiful spring day to be helping out Mother Nature!
