Rock Climbing, New River Gorge

OVERVIEW

Rock Climbing for the weekend at the New River Gorge. The Gorge has some of the best sport climbing in the East.

We’ll leave saturday morning, climb that day, camp saturday night and climb again sunday. We can pick an area at the New depending on what people would like to do.

Plese only sign up if you know how to belay and tie-in. We will try to find places where there are climbs for beginners, but if you are a relative beginner and decide to come (which is great), realize that there is a limited number of moderate routes at the New. I can teach people to lead/lead belay if anyone is interested.

Also, expect to return quite late sunday night (midnight – 1am).

Club provides: Gas $ & camping/climbing gear.

You provide: Meal $, gear that you have, sturdy shoes, something to swim in.
