Rocky Mount Hike (2d Try)

OVERVIEW

Since on the previous week we miss this opportunity because of rain, this weekend
we can make the second try

Rocky Mount is one of a few 9+ mile circuit hikes in the southern section of the Shenandoah National Park. With three different ascents, the last being at the end of the hike, this 2,840 foot loop can feel longer and higher than it actually is. The reward is the great panoramic view from the Rocky Mount summit.
Let’s do this hike on possibly last sunny (and moderately cold) fall Sunday. The hike is 9.5 mls loop, rated as 5 with elevation change 2,840 ft.

The club provides: gas refund or place in a car, the park entrance fee.
You have: water, snacks/lunch, Shenandoah park pass or NP pass (if have), camera.
