As the unwieldy name implies (or not), this is your weekly daytrip to Snowshoe. We’ll leave EARLY Saturday morning (6am) and be back by 7.30pm Saturday night in time to exchange Valentine’s Day cards with all your classmates, watch the UVA basketball game, or both!
Looking out your window should be all the convincing you need to get on the slopes; Snowshoe got hit just as hard as we did, and is expecting another 12″+ today and tomorrow. If you can’t make it on Ryan’s overnight trip but still want to enjoy the snow, then this is the trip for you.
Here’s the plan:
1) Meet at 6am at Bonnycastle Circle.
2) Get to Snowshoe as the slopes open.
3) Ski.
4) Eat lunch.
5) Ski some more.
6) Leave by 4.30.
7) Get back to Charlottesville by 7.30.
You’ll need:
-ski/board gear or $$$ to rent
-season pass or $$$ for a lift ticket
-lunch or lunch $$$
-warm clothes
Club provides:
-seat in car
-gas $$$ for drivers
I can take 4 in my car, and will expand the trip as more drivers sign up.
And yes, feel free to slap me for the stupid trip title.

***If you need to be back in Charlottesville earlier than 7.30 Saturday night, I have a driver who will be leaving Snowshoe at 3pm and should get back to town around 5.30 or 6pm.
