Hoo wants to benefit from my need of a new NPS pass!?

Let’s hit one of VA’s most popular and scenic trails in Old Rag Mountain for a little fresh air and Club camaraderie this Saturday.

We’ll meet up at Echols at 7:20am (yes, for any lazy upper classmen I can meet you at the intersection of 14th & Wertland on my way) so we can hit the road by 7:30am for the ~1hr drive.

The trail has some fun scrambling but does include quite a bit of elevation gain so please be expecting that. We’ll aim to do the 9 miles and be back to our car in 5 hours so we should be back on grounds before 3:00pm at the latest.

Hopefully we’ll have passes to cover the entrance fee, but if the rangers decide to sleep in or we get another car without a park pass we’ll evenly split any costs of the $5/person fee.

Things needed:
– summit snack
– water (up to 2L, but you do you man)
– jacket/layers
– day pack for all that stuff
– comfortable shoes/boots
– a spirit of adventure (not optional)
